About Sustainability

Synthetic oils help improve fuel efficiency
One way Lubrication Specialists aims to address the challenge of sustainability is through providing the highest quality oil products with the lowest impact on the environment, namely the advanced formulated Mobil lubricants.

As well as meeting high performance standards, Mobil synthetic lubricants help by improving fuel efficiency compared to their mineral oil equivalents.Mobil branded synthetic industrial lubricants last longer compared to their mineral oil equivalents before needing changing, and extend the working life of our customers' equipment, meaning potential equipment cost savings and less oil and lubricant wastage.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Various sustainability drives like the vegetable garden for the Sunshine Centre for the Disabled.
Being a wholly owned subsidiary of the second largest private company (Bidvest Namibia) listed on the Namibian Stock Exchange, Lubrication Specialists is very aware of its responsibilities towards Namibia, its environment and its people. Since the company's humble beginning as a Marine Lubes Distributor with only two employees, it has grown into a significant job provider within the Namibian economy.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility drive the group supports a variety of charities, schools, small business development, local youth and sport development and community upliftment initiatives. Ongoing support includes providing baby formula milk to destitute single-mothers in Walvis Bay monthly, sponsorships and donations to educational and health related initiatives, regular beach-cleanup efforts, equipment sponsorship for Hyena, Vulture, Dolphin conservation and research projects, bursaries for previously disadvantaged Namibians and support to the local kids havens and soup kitchens.
